Retail Supervisor
JOB SUMMARYThe Retail Supervisor provides support and works in New York State products through the future Taste of New York Market, SUNY Morrisville, and Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSUnder the direction of the Director of Retail Operations, the Retail Supervisor supervise operations of Taste of New York Market to include but not limited to staffing, scheduling, inventory and purchasingOversee Sales Staff, including but limited to scheduling, training, and monitor compliance with all proceduresPrepares and ensures that cash ups and accounts receivable for following company proceduresMaintain POS including product additions and modificationsEnsure Taste of New York online store is up to dateCoordinates with MACs marketing department for print and electronic materialCollaborates with store associates to ensure consumer product needs are addressedResearch NYS products to diversify the Taste of New York Market offeringsPreparing purchase and placing orders with vendors for store product; along with ensuring correct forms are acquired for proper documentation and compliance with company policiesPerform other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School graduate or equivalent; Associate degree or minimum 3 years experience in Sales and/or Retail required; proven ability to promote and present business concepts and products; working knowledge of Point of Sale systems; working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel; Valid NYS Drivers License QUALITIESAbility to effectively communicate effectively with vendors and facultyStrong attention to detailSelf-motivatedTake initiative, anticipate, prioritize, and follow tasks through to completionConflict resolution abilitiesIntegrity and trustworthinessAdhere to company, department and State guidelines as directedHandle sensitive and confidential information appropriatelyPredictable and reliable attendanceStrong customer service skills are a must PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND DEMANDSGeneral office conditions; must be able to sit for long periods of time; must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
